LifeForce Memorial Day Service 2008

Losing a loved one to suicide is a sorrow unlike any other, but you are not alone. We hope that you will share with others who have been touched by suicide, so that together we can build compassion and commitment to help prevent suicide in our communities.
We invite you to share your story and leave a message of love and remembrance on the LifeForce Memorial Wall.
What is LifeForce Memorial Day?
Suicide is a serious issue in our community – more Australians take their own lives each year than die on our roads.
Wesley Mission’s LifeForce suicide prevention program is dedicated to helping reduce the high rate of suicide in Australia by building strong community networks, raising awareness, and empowering and educating individuals.
Each year we hold a memorial service for those who are concerned about or who have been touched by suicide. The service is open to everyone, and we warmly invite you to attend; it is a unique opportunity for people to come together in a spirit of comfort and hope.
Conducted in an atmosphere of peace and serenity, the service offers time to reflect, and perhaps to remember loved ones. During the ceremony you will have an opportunity to cast a sunflower into Sydney Harbour as a gesture of love and remembrance.
